Years ago, when Evelyn was still 'Chuck', a girlfriend (Sobe) pressed me to blog mommy advice and family adventures. I thought it was silly. I didn't think anything I was doing was unique enough to pique the interest of others because, frankly, I'm not often asked about the 'how' part of our outings but the 'where'. Well, skip a few years and I have found my inspiration - Sharon. She has shown me that blogging day-to-day can be exciting. Her fabulous adventures are just blocks from her doorstep and yet they still capture my interest.
A brief description of me pertaining to the blog: full-time mom, wanderer, checklist traveler, weakness for memberships and adoring wife.
I noticed that I have ignored 2010 which in no way reflects the importance of the year. So much was learned and far too many miles accrued. I will try to skip around and cover the adventures and experiences later.
Now off to start this blog thing and see where it takes me...

Mama's 80th
Halloween stretched over a week

That's right, we couldn't get enough of Halloween this year. E was a witch, Cinderella, a monkey, and a 'monster' (wild thing). B was a happy monkey and loved the excitement. We enjoyed all the events, like 'boo at the zoo', costume parade at monster's school, trick-or-treating around the 'hood, 'garden after dark' @ red butte, etc. Apparently it all ended too soon, because E still insists on wearing her costumes, of course I give in:)
Little Jaunt to Oz

It was a bullet-trip; so completely worth it! We love the ratcliffes! :) I believe in life it is difficult for a couple to find another couple to love each person equally and so immensely. They are our best traveling mates. We'd do anything for them, like fly to Australia for three days, just like they'd do anything for us, like have us in their wedding party and not leave our side for those three, terrific days. Until next time, ratcliffes! @Carnival!!

Evie's School

This picture was taken on E's first day of school. E has really surprised me with how well she keeps up with the other kids at school. She remembers their names, she comes home singing new songs, and loves painting. My favorite part is when I pick her up and I get to look through her backpack to find all the things she did that day. It is adorable to hear her little voice with such a small vocabulary describe how she accomplished a task. I love it!

Disney World

The Adams had their annual Disney Trip. 6 adults catering to two little ones - E totally scored this time! Our little princess had an unbelievable time. Her entire autograph book is full of characters; she developed quite the eye for catching them and making them sign her book. Each signature was like the toddler's trophy for catching such big game. Most of the days she wore her Cinderella ensemble - gloves, crown, glass slippers, purse and gown. You are allowed to judge - it is a little over the top.
It was a truly wonderful trip. We stayed at the animal kingdom villas and had a fantastic view of all sorts of animals. We did SO much; we were all completely exhausted by the end.
Now back to beautiful, crisp autumn and layers and layers of clothes, back to quasi-employment, and back to carseats.
